Online-Workshop OER are learning and teaching materials with an open license. What does this mean in terms of the various definitions (Cape Town Declaration, UNESCO, Creative Commons, the 5 R freedoms)? The idea of sharing as a positive culture of give and take is a central aspect of the Open Education Resources movement. In practice, however, this political demand often encounters personal reservations and institutional obstacles that can inhibit the practice of sharing. In this webinar, we will discuss the claim of a culture of sharing. The aim of this workshop is to reflect on one’s own attitudes and organizational and professional culture regarding to openness. It also aims to develop a reasoned decision regarding the use and development of OER.
