I am a regional, national, and international open education advocate and researcher. My research and practice interests centre on open education professional development for post-secondary faculty members, use of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in post-secondary curriculum, and open online instructional design. I recently completed my Doctor of Education with a dissertation titled Open is an Invitation: Exploring Open Educational Resources with Ontario Educators. I am also a Creative Commons Certified Educator.
My current professional role is Chair, Teaching and Learning at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario. Cambrian is a public post-secondary institution serving over 7100 learners each year in two and three-year programs. The Student Learning Centre and the Teaching and Learning Innovation Hub at Cambrian College are centres of excellence in Ontario for technology-enabled and open pedagogy in support of student success. If you would like to connect or collaborate with me and Cambrian teams on post-secondary initiatives, please let me know!
