Scottish Open Education Declaration
The Scottish Open Education Declaration is an openly licensed document which puts forward the case for open education in Scotland and a number of "principles" which organisations, funders and individuals can endorse. It "...is addressed to the Scottish Government, the Scottish Funding Council, education agencies, schools, colleges, universities, the third sector, and all organisations and individuals engaged in teaching and learning including galleries, libraries, archives and museums."
The Scottish Open Education Declaration developed and broadened the remit of the UNESCO 2012 Paris OER Declaration and is also informed by the European Commission's Opening Up Education Initiative. It also underwent a community review process and was further developed in response to this process.
