The non-profi association Forum Neue Medien in der Lehre Austria (fnma), as an established lobby group in the tertiary education sector, offers a lively network for the development and implementation of strategies and measures in the field of digital education in Austria.
Founded in 2000, fnma is the only nationwide and university-spanning e-learning network in the German-speaking world. The represented actors maintain a lively and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and experiences as well as the tradition of efficient project cooperation. At the same time, fnma is the only association in Austria that promotes the use of new media in teaching as a cross-university lobby.
Since 2017, there is a special interest group (SIG) on the topic of open educational resources (OER), which, among other things, has produced and published two whitepapers on the topic of OER.
