American Public University System


The American Public University System (APUS) is a for-profit, online learning institution of higher education composed of the American Military University (founded 1991) and the American Public University (founded 2002). APUS serves over 100,000 students, 53% of whom are active duty military. Its 180+ degree and certificate programs emphasize educating the military and public service communities. APUS is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
