Achieving the Dream is a national, nonprofit leader in championing evidence-based institutional improvement at America's community colleges. ATD leads and supports a national network of 200+ community colleges, helping them achieve sustainable institutional transformation by sharing knowledge, investigating innovative solutions, and adopting effective practices and policies that lead to improved outcomes for all students.

From 2016-2019 ATD led the OER Degree Initiative, supporting 38 community colleges in 13 states in creating full OER degree pathways. The project was designed to help remove financial roadblocks that can derail students’ educational progress and spur changes in teaching and learning and course design that will increase the likelihood of degree and certificate completion. ATD has received a follow-up grant to partner with researchers at SRI to investigate OER use in the community college classroom.
