The research project was selected by ANII (National Research and Innovation Agency, Uruguay) for funding, within the framework of the so-called Sector Fund "Digital Inclusion: Education with New Horizons" - 2018 (FSED_2_2018_1_150150). Its duration was from May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2020.
This research proposes to generate knowledge around the didactic analysis of classes, based on the use of 360 ° multimedia digital technologies, which enriches the learning achieved in the pre-professional practice of teacher training.
The general objective is to facilitate access and improve the quality of learning in the pre-professional practice of secondary education teacher training, through the application of digital technologies. Specifically, it seeks to assess the incorporation of digital technologies for the development of reflective didactic analysis capacities of teacher students and to identify and analyze what other training aspects are developed and promoted. We want to know how they can contribute to the construction of the new graduation profile and to the protection of the academic trajectories of the students. In addition, a repository of film materials for secondary education and training activities will be created that can be carried out using said materials, in the training of teacher students. This repository will be open and expandable.
What supports this research is the need to optimize the quality of learning that is built in the field of pre-professional practice of teacher training; diversify the learning modalities, for an entry profile of students who have family, work and / or economic difficulties, which hinder the continuity of their study paths and incorporate new uses of digital technologies directly associated with teacher training, as opposed to a graduate profile that must respond to the demands of the knowledge society and the modalities that call for collaborative work.
Groups of teacher training students, guided by trainers, will carry out face-to-face and / or virtual didactic analysis of film units of classes in secondary education, applying protocols designed by the research team for this purpose. Data will be collected on the levels of reflection and analysis achieved by applying these protocols, through: non-participant observation, content analysis of platform forums and other means of exchange, surveys and in-depth interviews with students and trainers. It is expected to develop and value such innovative didactic protocols, which provide new didactic learning opportunities.
The paradigm on which this research is based is qualitative, and its purpose is critical: it seeks to identify a potential for change (Paz Sandín, 2003). The study approach is not purely phenomenological, since the study subjects (students and trainers) are placed in an unnatural situation, to collect the first group of data (didactic analysis of the recordings of class fragments). As there is no total control of variables, it is a quasi-experimental instance. However, later the rest of the data collection development is non-experimental.
