“Open Policies can develop Scotland’s unique education offering, support social inclusion and inter-institutional collaboration and sharing and enhance quality and sustainability.”
Open Scotland is a voluntary cross sector initiative that aims to raise awareness of open education, encourage the sharing of open educational resources, and explore the potential of open policy and practice to benefit all sectors of Scottish education. Open Scotland has been supported by a number of organisations including the Association for Learning Technology, the University of Edinburgh, and the ALT Scotland SIG.
Open Scotland was the driving force behind the 2016 Scottish Open Education Declaration. The Open Scotland blog acts as a focal point to engage the community and disseminate news and developments relating to all aspects of openness in education in Scotland and further afield.
