Creative Commons is a non-profit organization that provides pre-produced licenses to ease the process of authors providing free material. CC neither publishes, neither does is exploit contents nor is it contracting party of authors and rightsholders. The usage of CC licenses proceeds under own responsibilities of the users and is aimed to keep contents as free as the author decides they are supposed to be.
