The project 'student exchange Essen-Gliwice' gives an insight into potentials wiki technology offers for school partnerships. The project was developed in the context of an international school partnership and was awarded in 2011 for civic encouragment as part of the Poland-Northrhine-Westphalia-year 2011/2012. The students author bilingual articles about structural changes in the aftermath of the exchange programme and operate a wiki to maintain contact and keep their freshly built open exchanging culture alive.
