Over the three and a half years that the project has been running, the team has been involved in advocacy within the university and in higher education more broadly, has hosted numerous events, has engaged in policy development, has undertaken research and has provided support to the UCT community in several areas including open resources, online presence, open licensing as well as visibility and curation support. Within the project a new institutional repository () was launched which provides an open access platform for UCT staff to share their research, teaching and learning content with the world. At the end of the project, the repository contained over 7 500 resources across all the UCT faculties – and has been handed over to UCT Libraries.
