The University of Vienna's Development Plan 2025 formulates an explicit "commitment to OER" and announces the establishment and expansion of services for development, archiving and subsequent use: "The University of Vienna is committed to Open Educational Resources (OER), taking into account the subject cultures, has established services for development, archiving and subsequent use and would like to expand these services" (p. 46). In detail, the University of Vienna announces an opening of teaching in the sense of OER and education of students on Open Data and Open Access) (p. 46).
At the University Library, too, open educational resources are explicitly mentioned as a field of activity in the Development Plan 2025 (p. 70): "The special services to support researchers and teachers (e.g., archiving research data, indexing open educational resources) as well as the tasks with a university-wide service character (e.g., biblio- and scientometrics, support in the development of publication strategies) will be consistently expanded in dialog with users. This further development also affects the services and services in the field of Open Science (Open Access, Open (Research) Data, Open Educational Resources, Open Innovation).
Note: A "Development Plan" of an Austrian University is a description of the strategic orientation of a university in whose development all university bodies were involved. In Austria, such Development Plans are the basis for performance agreements, which are bindingly agreed between universities and the ministry for several years.
