moreBNE aims at establishing an OER community of practice (CoP) in the area of education for sustainability at schools. Training formats for teachers are developed targeting competencies in the field of education for sustainability and will be rooted in different stages of teacher training. Existing network structures will be used and expanded by OER and address further actors. In this vein, a CoP is focused by setting up an OER hub as an innovative and creative workplace, here, the community will collaborate virtually and physically. The OER hub thus serves as a node for work, exchange and network for sustainability education – if necessary, other locations may be addressed but this very hub will always be central. Similar to open formats like bar camps and hackathons, actors will be network for collaboration attending such events. Together, the parties will develop innovative OER, and a CoP with collaborative work structures should thus emerge. Teaching blocks that are compatible to teaching schedules for a national and international CoP will emerge as by-products. Such modules are devised in a way that they can immediately be implemented in lessons and support collaboration also across subjects. The community expansion measures will be checked for their practicability. The OER hub will, after the project has terminated, be maintained in its infrastructure and pedagogy by the Didactics Innovation department at the Centre for Teacher Education and Subject Didactics (ZLF) at the University of Passau.
