“HackathOERn - Idea competitions and hackathons to improve OER infrastructures for OER and OEP” is looking for innovative software solutions that simplify the handling of Open Educational Resources (OER) and thus contribute to the more sustainable establishment of OER in the educational landscape. This will enrich the OER-promoting infrastructure with prototype applications. They are characterized by flexibility, ease of use, low barriers and a high level of integration.

At the heart of HackathOERn is the implementation of a series of collaborative programming formats known as “hackathons”. These hackathons are flanked by networking activities involving stakeholders in the field of OER. Promising ideas for improving the digital infrastructure can emerge there. The challenges of the next hackathons will be derived from these ideas.

All results will be documented and published under free licenses in order to enable third parties to contribute to the further development and thus increase the sustainability of the solutions developed in line with the openness of OER.
